Hua Hin

Sawadee ka and good luck to all the P4s starting block 5 today!

We just returned to Bangkok from a relaxing weekend at Hua Hin. The resort we stayed at was right on the ocean and had a swimming pool surrounded by palm trees.

This was the view of the ocean from our back deck!
Tourist season doesn't start for them until February/March, so there were not too many other guests staying at the resort. The tide is currently very strong and very high so the beach wasn't too accessible. However we did get to here a practicing marching band aaalllll day and half of the night! (No more cowbell for me please!)

On Saturday night we went to the market and ate so much seafood, including oysters which I had for the first time, followed by delicious coconut ice cream. This is a picture of Noi and Dr. Krebs after dinner. Noi has been our coordinator throughout the trip as well as a go-to person for any questions about culture, food, or shopping. We are so lucky to have her as our guide. Dr. Krebs has been such a great mentor for the past week and we are sad to see him leave, but excited to welcome Dr. Choi to Thailand with a welcoming dinner tonight!

Sunday night, AJ and I trekked out to 7 eleven for some snacks. We passed many food trucks, a temple, and adorable stray dogs. Unfortunately, many of these dogs have diseases and it is not advised for us to touch them.

Thank you so much for reading our posts!
